Summer is almost coming to an end, and there are lots of events coming up in Timaru before we head into autumn! So here are some fun things to do to enjoy the rest of your summer.
The Diamond Drop is a valentine day special event taking place at the Ashbury Park in Timaru. There’s a $3000 diamond by Ringmakers that will be stuck inside a rainbow confectionery marshmallow. Helicopters South Canterbury will release 2021 marshmallows over Ashbury Park and your mission will be to find the one with the diamond inside! A fun valentine day event to enjoy with your partner!

YMCA Community Pop-Up
The YMCA is organising a community pop-up sport and recreation event each week during term 1 for some free fun! You and your kids can enjoy some bubble football, cornhole, badminton, giant Jenga and lots more!

The Temuka Market
If you want to spend your day outside of Timaru, the Temuka Market is a nice one to explore!
The market has stalls offering plants, flowers gifts, locally made crafts , food items and much more! You can your day at the market with a coffee from the onsite coffee vendor before exploring the Temuka area and can be a nice way to spend your Saturday with family or friends.

Timaru Artisan Farmers Market
The Timaru Artisan Farmers Market is are a Saturday morning market with a mixture of farmers market products and local crafts.
They have a mixture of craft, food and information stalls and some live entertainment too. A great place to coming and buy and socialise with the locals!
The food stalls include, honey, fresh seasonal fruit and vegetables, warm toasties, pies, pasties, crepes & waffles, Indian curries and porridge, fresh baking, cookies and artisan bread. Locally grown seasonal flowers and plants are available too!
